Observations:

January 2014 - Bowey continues to pile up the points for the dominant Kelowna Rockets. Bowey started the season with 25 points in 25 games but since then has dropped off a bit with 10 in his last 14. His 35 points on the season already surpass last season's 69 game total. Kelowna is 1st in the WHL with a 33-4-0-2 record and Bowey is a main reason why as he is a plus-33 (2nd in WHL). Including last season (the past 108 games), he is a plus-74. Bowey reminds a lot of felow prospect Connor Carrick, as he can also provide very decent PIM totals. Worth a pick up in deep keeper leagues before he gets on other's radars. Nathan Kanter

November 2013 - Bowey is off to a great start for the Rockets this season as he has 20 points in 19 games so far. His team is flying as well, at 15-2-0-2. His 20 points tie for the team lead and he is a plus-16. Nathan Kanter

February, 2013 - Madison Bowey is an aggressive two-way defenseman, with superb skating abilities. Bowey is currently third on his Kelowna Rockets team in scoring amongst defensemen with 9 goals and 16 assists for 25 points. He had a bit of a slow start to the season, but since his great showing at the CHL Top Prospects game he has been playing with more confidence and consistency. The 17-year-old blueliner has a good defensive game, and some feistiness to go along with it. Bowey has immense talent and athletic ability, but needs to learn to simplify his game as he sometimes takes unnecessary risks with the puck. Seth Brisendine

February 2013 – Bowey, a mobile puck-moving defenseman, is a product of the Kelowna Rockets’ program with a history of developing quality NHL defenseman. He is a smooth skater who can skate the puck into open ice or execute a crisp accurate pass in transition. A safe and reliable defender, Bowey owns a solid yet unspectacular physical game and can shut down the opposition with strong positioning. If a team fancies Bowey’s consistency and reliable game, it is quite possible that he is scooped up midway through the opening round in New Jersey. Brendan Ross

Fantasy Outlook: B-

Solid two-way defenseman with modest fantasy upside.
