April 2013- Tierney finished the 2012-13 regular season posting 18G-39A-57PTS and a plus-6 rating playing in all 68 games for the London Knights and posted 1G-5A-6PTS and a plus-5 rating while helping sweep the Saginaw Spirit in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Travis Watson
April 2013 - The San Jose Sharks signed Tierney to a three year entry-level contract. He will most likely stay another year in the OHL as an overage player or begin his professional career in Worcester. Tim Graveline
January, 2013 - Chris is a very dependable two-way player able to play in all three zones. He is willing to put the team first by accepting any role given to him and a real glue guy for the London Knights. Tierney is starting to put together above average numbers despite generally being given third line minutes and assignments. Tierney truly is starting to live up to his first-round pedigree in the OHL draft and worthy of the second-round selection to the Sharks in 2012.
Fantasy Outlook: C-
Tierney has all the tools to succeed just needs the time and right opportunity to develop into his ability. Future probably lies as a third-line center with scoring upside.
