Observations:
February, 2013- Fournier has played a bit better offensively and is up to 21 points in 50 games. His physical play and ability to rack up PIM (53 this year) will likely be his bread and butter in fantasy hockey. Eric Daoust
January, 2013 – Dillon Fournier is a mobile defense-first defenseman and is a skilled passer. After a good showing in his draft year (38 points in 52 games) his offensive game has regressed to just 16 points in 40 games this season. This has to be alarming for poolies who were hoping for him to take a step forward in point production and develop as a two-way defender. It remains to be seen if this is just a bad year or if the points are simply not going to come with any consistency. He is a pretty safe bet to make it in the NHL but will likely be used mostly in defensive situations much like fellow Blackhawk Niklas Hjalmarsson.
Fantasy Outlook: C- Decent upside but if it does translate to the NHL it will not be for several years.
