Here is a look at some prospect action from last night, beginning with the NCAA:
Johnny Gaudreau (CAL) had a goal and assist and six shots on goal as Boston College shut out Northeastern 3-0. Kevin Hayes (CHI) pitched in with a goal and Parker Milner (FA) got the clean sheet.
Miami's Riley Barber (WAS), the Caps 6th-round pick this year, had three points during Saturday's victory over Providence. Barber now has three goals already this season. Mark Jankowski (CAL) was scoreless and minus -2 for the Friars.
Minnesota managed a split with Michigan Tech, led by a pair of goals from Seth Ambroz (CBJ). Erik Haula (MIN) added a goal for the Gophers.
Ben Hanowski (PIT) had two points for St. Cloud in their 4-0 whitewashing of Alabama-Huntsville. Hanowski, a senior, has shown good improvement in his time with the Huskies and is a fringe prospect who would be better off in another organization due to the Penguins' depth.
Nick Shore (LAK) went off for Denver last night, scoring a hat trick and adding an assist for good measure against Air Force. He fired seven shots on goal during the contest. D-man Joey LaLeggia (EDM) also had a goal and an assist for the Pioneers.
In action from Friday night, Gaudreau had a goal and assist and Hayes a pair of assists for B.C. against Northwestern.
Michigan's Alex Guptill (DAL) had two goals, both assisted by Phil Di Giuseppe (CAR) in the Wolverines win over Bentley.
Mark MacMillan (MTL) netted two goals and Jordan Schmaltz (STL) a goal and an assist for North Dakota in Friday's night's 5-0 blanking of Alaska-Anchorage. Rocco Grimaldi (FLA) added a goal for short-handed North Dakota, who played with just nine forwards.
In AHL action from last night, Marcus Foligno had a four point night, and T.J. Brennan three in Rochester's wild 8-7 win over Hershey.
Maxime Sauve notched a goal and an assist for Providence. I still think he has the puck skill to play in the NHL at some point.
Jacob Josefsson led Albany with two goals as the Devils shut out Worchester 4-0. Adam Larsson contributed a pair of assists.
Mark Barberio and Brett Connolly each had a goal and assist as Syracuse beat Binghampton 6-5 in a wild fight-filled contest. Sens goalie Robin Lehner had blanked the Crunch when halfway through the second period Lehner left his crease to instigate a fight and was ejected.
Kyle Palmieri had a three-point night for Norfolk and rookie Chris Wagner added a goal and assist.
Tyson Barrie had three points, and the Monsters held Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins off the scoresheet as Lake Erie beat Oklahoma City 5-3. Justin Schultz scored his fourth goal for the Barons.
Mikael Granlund had a pair of goals for Houston in their 5-3 win over the Texas Stars. Oh yeah, he had two assists too. The kid's not bad.
That's all for now, thanks for reading. @RichDillon17
