September 2013 - After missing his first training camp due to the lockout in 2012-13, Mitch Moroz was again forced to miss parts of preseason action due to a knee injury that he was rehabilitating. Moroz, injured in the Edmonton Oil Kings' playoff run, is scheduled to return to the WHL to compete in his "third" full season looking to improve upon the modest 13 goals and career-high 34 points he recorded last year. He remains a long-term project with low-upside in the point production but could offer moderate value in fantasy keeper leagues with penalty minutes. Moroz recorded 140 penalty minutes for the Oil Kings last season in 69 games. Brendan Ross

August 2012 – The Oilers didn’t go far to find their second round pick in the 2012 draft as Mitch Moroz was playing right in their own back yard. Mitch Moroz is a checking forward who burst on to the scene with his power forward style and fearless play. In his rookie WHL season, Moroz scored 16 goals and had 25 points in 66 games. He is a penalty kill warrior blocking a ton of shots and plays a physical game. His offensive ceiling is limited although he will play a bigger role for the Edmonton Oil Kings this year. Fantasy Outlook: D+

Limited offensive value but will put up a solid amount of penalty minutes and hits when he gets there.
