Observations: June, 2012 – Best known for his championship winning goal in game seven of the 2011 OHL Finals, Jarrod Maidens is a centerman with good skating mechanics and plays a high character game. Struggling to stay healthy in his draft year, Maidens was limited to just 28 games due to a suspected concussion. Entering the draft he is a wild card but his natural skill, impressive two-way game and size should make him a strong asset to any team pick mid-to-late second round.
Fantasy Outlook: B-
Maidens owns modest offensive upside as he possesses strong puck skills that complement his intelligent decision making. Considering scouts had limited viewings of Maidens, there is a chance that he makes big development steps if he can overcome his latest injury.
