June 2012 – Hagelin is one of the many impressive college players to come out of the University of Michigan (CCHA). He is not the biggest player of the ice but certainly does not shy away from the physical play and using his body at his advantage. Hagelin is a strong two-way forward with great hockey sense. He possesses a good shot along with speed and face-off ability. He displayed his versatility and was effective for the Rangers this past season.

Fantasy Outlook: B+

Hagelin could become a top-six forward with a scoring touch after solid rookie pro season.

Hagelin scores on the doorstep with Rangers on 12/26/2011.

... Carl Hagelin has plenty of speed. The NY defense was dumping the puck out of zone with the go ahead from CH who zoomed into the offensive zone, established possession to wipe out the icing call then looked to throw the puck into the paint for a scoring chance.

I saw this play multiple times over the course the later part of the season.

If Carl Hagelin improves his wrister and puts more pucks on net he can easily pot 20-25 goals.
