January 2013 - Vey has posted respectable numbers in the AHL with 10 goals and 26 assist for 36 points in 42 games. He's showing his playmaking abilities and has taken the scoring lead for the Manchester Monarchs. If he continues to play this well, there's a chance that with the condensed NHL season some guys might get injured and he could be the first to be called up for a short stint to show off his wares. Tim Graveline
April 2012 – LA may have gotten one of the best steals from the '09 draft. Linden is smaller but that has not hurt his play at all. Linden left junior hockey as the leading scorer of ALL Canadian Major Junior with 116 PTS in 69 games. He has jumped into a very good AHL program in Manchester and has fit in seamlessly. He has played top six minutes, produced 40 points good for third on the team and has been very responsible in his role, just like in junior He only has four points in 13 games since February, but in February he went on a tear recording 14 points in 12 games with a plus-9. Linden will see another season in Manchester next year, will be looking to add size, professional consistency and drive the offense.
Fantasy Outlook: C-
Likely will not get an opportunity to be full-time until 13-14, but when he gets there, a responsible 50+ points is not a stretch with a ceiling of point per game.
Explanation of Video: Linden Vey scores a goal on a faceoff win, 40 seconds in.
