Observations:
April 2013 - Danick Gauthier is a tall, strong scoring forward that possesses a quick accurate shot. He has a dynamic aspect to his game and is not afraid to go into the high traffic areas to get goals. He is currently playing with the Syracuse Crunch, posting ten points in 37 games as of mid-April. He has struggled to see normal ice time due to the lockout and was sent to the ECHL, where he posted five points in six games with the Florida Everblades before getting called back up in late March. Look for him to take a regular spot in the Crunch lineup and improve on his numbers in the 2013-14 season. Kevin Won
March 2012: Gauthier led his team in both goals and points on a stacked Saint John team. His 86 points are a big improvement after only putting up 30 points last year. Gauthier’s a strong player with good hands and a physical edge to his game. He has improved a lot this year and his progression did not go unnoticed as he signed an entry-level deal with the Tampa Bay Lighting earlier this year.
He will have to prove he can score in the AHL before he gets his shot.
