Observations:
November 2012 - Andrei Vasilevski continues to show all signs of an elite goaltender prospect after earning Player of the Game honours in SUBWAY Super Series games 1 and 4 making 31 and 29 saves respectively. Vasilevski possesses the athleticism, reflexes and size to dominate the blue paint and appears as any recent netminder to come along. Brendan Ross
October 2012 - Andrei Vasilevski was named to the 2012 Subway Super Series Team Russia Roster slated to compete in a six-game series against the Canadian Hockey League all-star teams from the QMJHL, OHL and WHL in November. Brendan Ross June, 2012 - Tampa Bay selects Andrei Vasilevski, the first goaltender off the boards, with their 19th overall pick of the 2012 NHL Entr Draft. -Brendan Ross-
March, 2012 – Andrei Vasilevski has the potential to be something truly special. The 17-year-old has tremendously quick legs and impressive flexibility which allow him to make the most difficult saves appear routine. Technically, his game is quite refined and he always squares up to opposing shooters. Playing in Russia’s MHL in 2011-12, Vasilevski put together a tidy 2.23 goals against average and a stingy .931 save percentage. He was nothing short of stifling at the 2012 World Junior Championships, making Sergei Bobrovsky’s noteworthy performance as a 19-year-old at the 2008 World Junior Championships seem trivial by comparison.
