Observations:
March 2013 - After showing flashes of scoring potential, Kubalik has settled in as a third-line energy player capable of 15 goals at the NHL level. But don't expect more than that. - Dobber
March 2012 – Kubalik is a native of the Czech Republic but did import to the QMJHL ranks for the 2009-10 season. He definitely showed his scoring touch in the major juniors and has surprised the brass of the Blue Jackets with his grit and ability to score those “dirty” goals. He completed a successful rookie campaign in the AHL last season notching 53 points in 76 games for Springfield. The downfall in Kubalik’s game is his skating and physical strength. - Russ Bitely
Fantasy Outlook: C+
Kubalik is a scrappy scoring forward that will need to improve on his quickness in order to make the next step.
Footage:
Tomas Kubalik gets called for boarding against the Duck’s Bobby Ryan on 1/8/2012.
