Observations:

August, 2012 - The Los Angeles Kings have inked Tanner Pearson to a three year entry level contract. It's expected that Pearson will turn professional this season after finishing third in OHL scoring in 2011-12. Brendan Ross

June, 2012 - Tanner Pearson became the first overage player drafted in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft after the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings used their 30th overall pick to select the Barrie Colts' late bloomer. Brendan Ross

February, 2012 – Currently in his second season as a member of the Barrie Colts, Tanner Pearson was overlooked in the 2010 and 2011 NHL Entry Drafts but will likely hear his name called in 2012. A slick playmaker who is equally adept shooting the puck, the late-blooming Pearson has been among the top five OHL scorers for nearly the entire 2011-12 campaign.

Fantasy Outlook: B-
A torrid pace that saw him record 60 points in his first 28 games was likely an aberration, as Pearson has produced at a rate of less than a point per game since early December.
