Observations:

April 2013 - Washington trades 2012 1st round pick Filip Forsberg to the Nashville Predators for Martin Erat and prospect Michael Latta. The trade went down on trade deadline at the very last minute. Forsberg's fantasy value takes a bit of a hit heading to Nashville but he will also be the main forward that the Predators will build around going forward so that's a bonus. Brendan Ross

October, 2012 - Forsberg is off to a strong start in Sweden's second division scoring 4 goals and 5 points in his opening seven games. Those numbers may appear mediocre but he leads all junior players in a league playing against men. -Brendan Ross

July 2012 – The Caps have locked up Forsberg to a three year entry level and announced that he will stay in Sweden with Leksand for at least another season. Needs to show ability to produce amongst men before he will be ready for North America. Jason Banks

June, 2012 - After slidding a bit, Forsberg was grabbed by Washington at the 11th spot. The Capitals will appreciate his strong work ethic, advanced puck possession skills and impressive offensive skills. Brendan Ross

March, 2012  – Arguably the top draft eligible prospect playing in Sweden and even Europe this season, Filip Forsberg has been competing against grown men since he was just 16 years of age. Playing in the second-tiered Allsvenskan in Sweden, the 17-year-old has been a regular offensive contributor. He is incredibly shifty and has a slew of dekes and toe-drags that can make even the best defenders look silly.

Fantasy Outlook: A-
He has excellent offensive skills but they might not translate to the NHL game if he doesn’t get considerably stronger.
