Steven Kampfer, D

Shoots: R

Height: 5-11

Weight: 197

Born: 1988-9-4

Hometown: Ann Arbor, MI

Drafted: 2007 4th round 93rd overall – Anaheim

March 2013 - After showing a lot of promise with the Bruins, Kampfer has stumbled since joining the Wild organization. He had offensive potential, but has struggled in terms of production over the past two seasons. If he makes the NHL, it will be as a depth option. - Dobber

March 2012 – Kampfer was a four-year contributor at Michigan (CCHA) on the blue line. Originally selected by the Ducks for his sturdy, mobile, and puck-moving skills from the back end, although has seen time in the Bruins and most recently Wild organizations through trades. He plays an aggressive style with good skating stride that could challenge for top six D-man soon. - Russ Bitely

Fantasy Outlook: C-

Kampfer is a steady defenseman with a two-way game...but hasn't shown enough to indicate that he will be an NHLer.

Steven Kampfer nails Erik Cole while with the Bruins on 9/25/2011.
