Observations:
February, 2013 - Hamilton has had a decent rookie season for the Worcester Sharks. His scoring ability has shown promise with his 14 points in 46 games. This is a low points per game average, but keep in mind that he's still young and is learning how to play with the men. Expect him to be one of the points leaders in his sophomore season with Worcester. Tim Graveline March 2012 – Freddie Hamilton is a hard-working player who can excel in several different roles on a team. He has the offensive touch to be a top six forward, but is also adept at the defensive side of the game. He took some time to adjust to the OHL game, but Hamilton has been in the top two in team scoring for the past two seasons. Hamilton also proved he could be an effective player under pressure playing for Team Canada’s World Junior squad this season. Hamilton’s biggest strength is his ability to battle hard for pucks and usually come out on top.
Hamilton’s offensive potential is limited at the NHL level, if he makes the Sharks roster it will likely be in a bottom six role.
