Observations:

April 2013 - Forbort signed an entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings, foregoing his senior season of eligibility at the University of North Dakota. Forbort had 17 points in 43 games in his final season, and will be reporting to Manchester in the AHL. he doesn't project as a big fantasy contributor at this point, but certainly worth keeping an eye on as his career progresses.

February, 2012 – A sophomore at the University of North Dakota, Derek Forbort is an excellent skater with great size on the blueline.  A product of the USNDP and veteran of two World Junior Championships, Forbort has more offensive skill than his production (22 points in 62 games at UND) shows.

Fantasy Outlook: C+

Forbort is close to a lock to play in the NHL, but his offensive contribution is not as certain.
