Observations:

March 2013 – Miele has failed so far to secure himself a spot in the Coyotes’ regular roster yet, but he has seen a recall and continues to prove himself in the AHL as a quality option when required. He currently sits third in Portland Pirates scoring as one of the veterans on the team. ‘Veteran’ is a key word as he is only a second year pro, yet at 24 years old, he is one of the oldest forwards on the team. Jason Banks

October 2012 - Miele is showing more consistency within the first few weeks of the season with the Portland Pirates. Having put up four goals and four assist in six game is a great way to start the season for Andy. If he continues to be consistent, he has a better chance at staying in Phoenix for the long haul instead of riding the bus back and forth between the two clubs. Tim Graveline

July 2012 – Phoenix liked what they seen in Miele last season for Portland enough that they gave him seven NHL games. He also received another one year contract. He could very well earn himself a spot on the Yotes’ roster next season as at this point there are openings on the left side. If he is assigned to the AHL he needs to show he is growing as a player and can contribute/dominate the league at his size to earn more looks. He is still a safe prospect to own while in Phoenix as they do not have much to choose from at forward in their system. Jason Banks

February 2012 – Miele has never been questioned on his offensive ability or even his physical play. Has always shown the ability to score from junior, USHL days and up through last season at Miami (OH) University as he took home college hockey’s most prestigious award – the Hobey Baker. But his little frame scared scouts off on draft day and will again be a factor if he makes it to the NHL. Russ Bitely

Fantasy Outlook: B-

Miele has the offensive know-how but will again need to prove his talent is NHL worthy. Size and strength may hold him back.
