Observations: February 2012 – Kassian is a big, rugged body that can certainly throw a check. The Sabre took him in the first round because of his tenacity and high hockey IQ. Scored some big goals and points in his final & fourth year of juniors with Windsor Spitfires on the way to a Memorial Cup Championship. Represented Canada at the 2011 WJCs winning a silver medal. Has been up & down several times in his first pro season between Buffalo and Rochester.
Fantasy Outlook: B- Kassian is a big, power forward that is known for throwing his body around. Potential top-six forward with impressive physical presence, though limited offensive ability may keep him off the first line.

Fantasy Prospects Report Notes (Any FPR's released in the last 18 months will not be listed here):
2009 Fantasy Prospects Report: Scouting Report: Easy to get caught up in the hype, but Kassian is simply an honest hockey player with few natural gifts. Poor defensively due to mediocre skating ability. Notable Numbers: Was the only player in the OHL's top 20 PIM-getters to score a point-per-game.
Potential: Second-line winger, 20-30-50+, 120+ PIM Years Away: 3 Buy the latest Fantasy Prospects Report here.
