Observations:

February, 2012 – Lee is a big-bodied power forward willing to go into high traffic areas of the ice, and has good hands to finish the play. He averaged a point per game as a freshman at Notre Dame last year, and is very close to that mark again this season (30 points in 32 games). Lee is an excellent athlete who was a highly touted quarterback in high school.

Fantasy Outlook: B

Lee has surprised with his production so far, and is leaning toward leaving school following this season.  He will need some time in the AHL.

2008 Fantasy Prospects Report:

Scouting Report

Usually when one talks about a player needing to decide what position they'll play, it refers to Brent Burns choosing between forward or D, etc. But Anders Lee must choose between playing center... or playing quarterback. When Lee wasn't busy scoring the second-most goals in the Classic Lake Hockey League for Edina High School's hockey team, he was rushing or passing for 19 TDs and a QB rating of 91 for the football team. Lee simply outpowers opponents on the ice, winning battles along the boards, in the dot and in front of the net. With work on his passing and acceleration, Lee could be a star NHLer. But the same attributes also make him a coveted D1 QB. Watch him carefully on draft day; where he goes will be a barometer of how serious he is about hockey.
