October 2013 - Noesen's feared injury has been confirmed and the young forward will miss the remainder of the 2013-14 season with torn ligaments in his knee. Noesen was held pointless in the two games he was able to suit up in. Brendan Ross

October 2013 - According to a Ducks' report, Noesen has a 'significant' knee injury and is currently walking around in crutches. Noesen was recently acquired in the Bobby Ryan trade that saw him and Jakob Silfverberg join the Ducks. edit: It has been discovered that Noesen will be out for the season with a torn ACL and MCL. This definitely puts a dent in his fantasy value. Kevin Won

July, 2013 - On July 5th, Stefan Noesen was packaged with forward Jakob Silfverberg and a 2014 1st round pick (OTT) for star forward Bobby Ryan. He and Silfverberg enter a crowded young forward corps with guys like Etem, Smith-Pelly, Holland, Maroon, etc all waiting for their chance in the big league. Noesen finished with a respectable 53 points in 51 regular season games and 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) in 15 playoff games with the Plymouth Whalers. He projects as a skilled power forward and will compete for a regular spot with the Norfolk Admirals next season. -Kevin Won

February 2013 – He has not had a strong start to 2013, since returning from his suspension Noesen has only posted six points in 10 games but half of that production came in a single game. He finished 2012 at a point per game pace, which is a regular pace we expect from him. Noesen also spent a week in Senators’ post-lockout camp. The Sens are continuing to grow older on their right side and will need replacements soon, Noesen could slide into a top nine role next season or at least be a very good depth option in the AHL. Jason Banks

December 2012 - Noesen ruled ineligible to play for Team USA due to OHL suspension, per the IIHF. Noesen received a 10-game suspension for the hit shown below - Dobber

December 2012 - Stefan Noesen was one of the 27 American players named to the USA Preliminary roster for the upcoming 2013 World Junior Championships. Noesen is one of several Plymouth Whalers that should be headed to Russia to compete in the WJC. Brendan Ross

February, 2012 –Stefan Noesen was one of the first few surprises at the 2011 NHL Entry draft when the Ottawa Senators used their second first round pick to take him twenty-first overall.  The decision to take the hard-working winger appears to be paying off.  Noesen, born in the football state of Texas, plays a smart intelligent game with a no-quit attitude.  Stefan Noesen possesses good hockey sense and competes hard every shift making him a good bet to become a contributing NHLer. If Noesen can develop into a top six winger Ottawa will be pleased but if not he will fit in nicely as a third line winger who is difficult to play against.  Noesen does not have blazing speed but he creates room for his teammates through his physical play and always seems to be around the puck.

Fantasy Outlook: B

Noesen should develop into a fantasy worthy winger in most leagues, especially deeper leagues.  The big winger has untapped offensive skills and if continues to work as hard as he currently does he could become a good investment for your fantasy squad.

Noesen gets 10 games for this hit:
