August 2013 – The London, Ontario native has quickly become a top prospect for the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Dating back to his minor midget days, Watson has had a flair for potting goals with a deadly accurate shot. Watson has a goal scorer’s instinct for finding open scoring areas on the ice. He is a swift skater with an elusive element making him a difficult player to contain during one-on-one contests. In his rookie 2012-13 season with the Kingston Frontenacs, Watson ranked eighth in first year scoring with 23 goals and 43 points in 63 games. Watson suited up for Team Canada at the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and led the event in scoring with four goals and 10 points in 5 games, capturing gold for his nation. Brendan Ross
