Observations:

August, 2013 - Earlier this summer, Eric Tangradi agreed to a two-year deal with the Jets. The great thing about the deal is that it is on a one-way contract, so he'll definitely be up full-time with the team. His production has been sluggish however, and has not performed to his hype. Keep in mind power forwards take much longer to develop, however his time is beginning to run out. -Kevin Won

February 2013- Tangradi was traded by the Pnguins to the Winnipeg Jets for a 7th-round draft pick. Tangradi will get a chance to play in the Jets' top six, but after failing to produce playing with Crosby and Malkin, the expectations are rather low. I see Tangradi as a Quad-A player, to coin a baseball phrase. That is, a player who is seemingly too good for the minors but can't quite make it in the big league. Rich Dillon

November 2012 – Tangradi was resigned by the Pens and reported to Wilkes Barre-Scranton of the AHL. He and Beau Bennett get to battle each other heads up for an open wing spot when the NHL returns. Currently there is little production between them on an offensively lean baby Pens team. Jason Banks

April 2012 – Tangradi was the key piece in the Ryan Whitney trade to Anaheim but the big power forward has yet to yield much return for the Penguins. Tangradi has respectable numbers in the AHL, with 35 goals and 72 points in 107 games, but that offense has yet to translate at the NHL level.  Tangradi has soft hands to go with a mean streak that sees him willing to stick up for his teammates. Tangradi needs to improve his compete level to become a consistent and regular NHL player.

Fantasy Outlook:   B-

Poolies have begun to sour on Tangradi and his inconsistent NHL play thus far. Tangradi is your prototypical power forward and as the case goes with those types of players, an offensive breakout may not come until later.  Tangradi is a potential roto-stud and 25+ goals and 80+ penalty minutes could be only a few years away.
