September 2013 - Rylan, older brother to Jaden Schwartz, has signed an entry-level deal with the San Jose Sharks.  He led the entire NCAA in scoring this season and has some decent upside coming into the fold with San Jose.  He won't have a true crack with the parent club until 2014/2015 season at the earliest. Tim Graveline

April 2013 – Signed with the San Jose Sharks out of Colorado College. He was the leading scorer in the NCAA in his senior year. He is the brother of the highly touted St. Louis Blues prospect, Jaden Schwartz.  He has a strong two-way game and will join AHL Worcester Sharks with the hopes of making the San Jose Sharks. February 2013 – Rylan Schwartz, typically over shadowed by his younger brother Jaden Schwartz, Colorado College was concerned he would lose his scoring ability when brother Jaden signed with STL. Schwartz easily blew those worries away and even excelled on his own. Not only did he show The Colorado College Tigers that he had independent scoring ability, Schwartz leads the Tigers with 34 points in 27 games played. Schwartz has a knack for getting in front of the net and being in the right place at the right time, combined with his quick and accurate shot, it’s easy to see why Schwartz has been one of the top three scorers for the Tigers over the last four years. Although defense and size were a concern early on at the NCAA level , Schwartz has managed to adjust his game to the bigger NCAA and score early and often, while maintaining a positive plus - minus for the majority of his collegiate career. - Andrew Ward

Fantasy Outlook: C+

Good upside. If he can find his way into the retooling Sharks roster as a dependable scorer that would do wonders, but as it is, he will most likely have to work his way up to the top nine skaters.
