December 2013 - Despite being a late addition to the United States preliminary World Junior roster due to injuries, Stepan's strong performance in the pre-tournament games witnessed him claim a spot as one of the 13 forwards on the final lineup. On a team full of two-way character players, the USA will rely on Stepan for skill and offence.  Donesh Mazloum

June 2013 - After two solid seasons at Shattuck St. Mary's Prep School, Stepan was scooped up in the 4th round by the Nashville

Predators at the 2012 draft. This past season Stepan suited up for the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL, making an immediate offensive impact. With 32 goals and 78 points in 56 games, Stepan finished third in league scoring behind line mates Taylor Cammarata and Justin Kloos. After initially committing to Ohio State, Stepan will instead be joining Minnesota State next year.  Donesh Mazloum

Fantasy Outlook: C

Stepan is a skilled and hard-working skater. He has the potential to be a scoring line centre, however, he is still very raw and is a long way from being an everyday NHL player.
