Observations:

July 2013 - Matt Fraser has been traded to the Bruins as part of the Tyler Seguin-Loui Eriksson trade involving seven players. After a strong season in the AHL, Fraser will look to provide Boston with some real good depth and has a chance at cracking the bottom six. Brendan Ross

May 2013- Fraser finished second in the AHL in goals, and first in power-play goals. He also got a small taste of the NHL life, with 12 games for Dallas, putting up three points. Look for Fraser to get a long look in camp and don't be surprised if he sticks. Rex Doty

March 2013 – With the Dallas Stars preparing to be a seller at the deadline, look for Fraser to get a recall to finish the season. Currently he leads the Texas Stars in scoring and is playing a much more responsible game than years before. Fraser has been somewhat of loose cannon for many years and unfortunately penalty minutes took away much from what numbers he possibly could have done in the past. This season the penalty minutes have been cut significantly, productively he is at the same pace as last season, but he has played better for the team and his power play production is up. Dallas has already given him a couple attempts at the show, but his next one might be the one that makes him stick and he could grow into a decent low end option for fantasy teams. Jason Banks

January 2013 - Fraser of the Texas Stars took the crown in the Pepsi Accuracy Shooting event, breaking four targets in five tries at the 2013 AHL All-Star Skills competition.  Brendan Ross

April 2012 – Fraser plays a very physical style along with a scoring finish for a true power forward. He can certainly dish out open-ice hits along with the skills of a heavy shot and quick release. He collected his fair share of PIM in juniors (WHL) although in his first pro season with Texas Stars (AHL) he is showing his scoring touch by notching 37 goals and earning AHL All-Star status.

Fantasy Outlook: C

Fraser will get consideration as second or third liner physical, goal-scoring winger for the NHL.
