December 2013 – Bibeau has been turning heads the past couple years showing strong growth and numbers on the large island of PEI in the QMJHL. Since the 2012-13 season, he has been amongst the save percentage leaders in a very offensive junior league known for seeing goalies with sub-par numbers. Last season, Bibeau’s save percentage was .911, his numbers in 2013-14 have dropped only .003 but his underperforming team has allowed an extra six shots on goal per game. Bibeau likes to use his large body to position himself in the middle of the net and use his extremities to do most of his work, an alteration that he can get away with that in Junior, but that sort of mind set is unlikely to serve him well next year transitioning to pro ranks. Currently, he is being out played by his backup Eric Brassard, but he doesn’t seem to be losing too many starts as of yet. He is on a nine game losing skid going into the holiday season. Hopefully, Bibeau will be dealt to a stronger ‘Q’ team in the new year, where he will be able to compete in the Junior playoffs before leaving Quebec Junior. Jason Banks

Fantasy Outlook: C+

Bibeau has a very projectable frame, competes rather well and compares himself to Roberto Luongo, but he will need much seasoning while working on conserving body movements and effective positioning for him to jump on the radar for fantasy managers.
