Drafted: 2013 by New Jersey Devils, 42nd Overall

July 2013 - The New Jersey Devils took Santini with the 42nd pick in the 2013 draft. Santini is committed to perennial NCAA power Boston College for the 2013-14 season. The Eagles have a history of producing NHL caliber players, so this is a good spot for Santini to learn and grow. Santini already owns good instincts and positioning in the defensive zone. At B.C. he will look to polish that and add to his modest offensive game. Rex Doty

December 2012 – Santini is a steady and solid body that plays well defensively and likes to dish out big hits on occasion. He makes good first, outlet passes and tough get by on one-on-one situations. Many people liked his performance at USA Hockey’s All-American Prospects Game in Buffalo as he was active and chipped in on the offense with an assist.

Fantasy Outlook: C-

Look for Santini to spend a few year in the NCAA before turning pro. His offensive potential is untapped at this point.
