Jarred Tinordi, D

Hometown: Millersville, MD

Drafted: 2010 by Montreal, 22nd overall

September 2013 - Tinordi was excellent at the Canadiens' training camp and due to some injuries on the Habs' blueline was able to secure a roster spot. When the team gets healthy it will be interesting to see if Tinordi will stay in the NHL. Eric Daoust

June 2013 - Tinordi had a very successful rookie season and was excellent for the Canadiens down the stretch and in the postseason. Look for him to start next season back in Hamilton but battle with fellow prospect Nathan Beaulieu for call-up priority when injuries happen. He is probably a year away from being in the NHL full-time.

March 2013 - Tinordi has been called up to Montreal to begin his NHL career. His 11 points in 55 games are surprising for a raw talent who is more of a shutdown defenseman. His fantasy appeal remains primarily in roto leagues that count PIM and hits. Eric Daoust

December 2012 – Tinordi has not had a great transition to pro as of yet. His size is very notable on the ice, but he is having troubles using it effectively against opponents. It is very early in his pro career, and he will need to adjust to the speed of the game, make much better decisions on and off the puck. To this point he has only two points in 18 games on an offensive starved Bulldog team. Jason Banks

October 2012 – After getting drafted out of the USNTP program, Tinordi moved to Ontario to play for the London Knights. A rock solid defensemen that comes with great leadership and a big frame that could still add a little strength. He has improved his mobility over the last few seasons and is ready to turn pro which he will do with the Hamilton Bulldogs this season. He makes a great outlet pass and has good vision of the ice. He has good defensive positioning and can be the quarterback on the powerplay. He is used in all situations and is very coachable. Tinordi should shoot more as he could become more of an offensive threat and will keep opponents guessing instead of only using his passing skills.

Fantasy Outlook: B-

Potential to be a top four defensemen and a future NHL captain.
