Suddenly, the arrival time of Kerdiles into the NHL has sped up a lot. He'll be practicing with the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL on an amateur tryout. December 2013 - Nic Kerdiles will be one of the 13 forwards selected to the American Under-20 World Junior roster for the upcoming Championships in Malmo, Sweden. Projected to play on the top line with Danny O'Regan and Riley Barber, Kerdiles will be leaned on heavily for offensive contributions. April 2013 - Nic Kerdiles spent this season with Wisconsin in the NCAA, scoring 11 goals and 22 assists in 33 games, good for second on the team and fifth in rookie scoring. He missed the first 10 games due to a violation in eligibility rules, but that didn't stop him as he saw big ice time in all situations. He earned Rookie of the Month in March/April as well as the tournament MVP in the annual WCHA Final Five Championship, notching 10 points in five games .He has mentioned defensive play as his weak spot and will focus on that in the future. Look for Kerdile to continue to develop his game in Wisconsin in 2013-2014. Kevin Won

June 2012 – The latest of many emerging California hockey players, Kerdiles has proven to be a winner capturing two World U18 Championship gold medals. His skating is his strength as he exudes an impressive first step that can separate him quickly from his opponent. With good size, Kerdiles maintains good puck possession using his frame and strong puck control abilities. Criticized for his oscillating on-ice attitude and consistency, Kerdiles needs to show that he can withstand the rigors of the mental side of the game to reach his fullest potential. Kevin Won
