Observations:

October 2014 - Nick Sorensen continues to sit out with an injury. It is reported that he will be out three months after he had surgery to take care of a nagging injury previously. Sorensen has started to gain a reputation as a band-aid boy although he is still a top-end talent. He is currently in the SHL with Skelleftea. -Kevin Won

May 2014 - The Anaheim Ducks have loaned out Nick Sorensen to Skelleftea of the SHL. After spending three years in junior, it appears that Sorensen elected to spend one year in the Swedish Hockey League.

March 2014 - Nick Sorensen has had an incredibly strong playoffs so far, posting nine points in four games, including a five-point night on March 22nd in Game Two against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. March 2014 - Nick Sorensen has finished the year with 61 points (31 goals and 30 assists) in 44 games. Sorensen's skills and skating have improved a lot, and this combination is rather intriguing. He will be battling it out for the QMJHL title in the playoffs later this month. -Kevin Won

December 2013 - Sorensen has started the year off strong with 27 points (13 goals and 14 assists) in 19 games. Four of his goals have been game winners and he has only been held pointless in three games. He was also named to Sweden's World Junior selection camp earlier in the week. Last season he also participated in the World Junior Championships for Sweden with whom he won a Silver Medal. However, there is a bit of concern as he missed six games with a concussion and is starting to become a band-aid boy. When healthy, he has proven that he can play at a high level with the Ramparts -Kevin Won

June 2013 – Sörensenenters the 2013 draft as one of the elder statesmen of the eligible crop. He struggled upon arriving in North America in his first QMJHL campaign due to injury and entered the 2012-13 season as a wild card for the draft. Sörensenowns quick feet, soft hands and a strong hockey sense, the latter quality makes him quite versatile. He is used in all situations and because he is a fairly aggressive forward, Sörensen has really branded himself as a quality penalty killer. Moving forward, Sörensen will need to add strength to a healthy frame and focus on conditioning to avoid being labelled as a band-aid boy. The Danish born Swede tallied 20 goals and 47 points in 46 games for the Quebec Remparts in 2012-13. Brendan Ross

Fantasy Outlook: C+

Sörensen projects as a tweener at the next level meaning that he owns the offensive skills to slide into a top six role but is also responsible enough to develop as a quality third line forward.
