June 2015 - The budding sniper has now found a home in 'the Big Apple' after being exchanged for Carl Hagelin and picks. His days in the AHL are done, instead he will be found pushing the pace in Madison Square Garden trying to break into the top-6 forwards and carving out a powerplay niche. Jason Banks

October 2014 - Emerson Etem has made the cut for the 2014-2015 Anaheim Ducks roster. He had a respectable 11 points in 27 games this season and look for him to build off his totals. There may be a hole for him in the top six but for now assume he will be eased into the bottom six unless an opening shows up. Kevin Won

March 2014 - Emerson Etem has been called up by the Anaheim Ducks. After a solid showing in last year's playoffs, Anaheim elected to keep him in the minors this year so he can develop. He responded with 42 points in 39 games. Now with the big team, look for him to stay and provide some speed and secondary scoring. Kevin Won

November 2013 - Etem has been sent down to the Norfolk Admirals. It appears that the management would rather have him playing top line minutes to further develop his game. He had 10 points in 24 games. Kevin Won

May 2013 - Emerson Etem had a respectable rookie campaign, posting ten points in 38 games. During his first ten or so appearances, he was pushed into a top six role, playing with the likes of Getzlaf and Perry. This proved to be too much for the California native and later settled into a checking/secondary scoring role. This was perhaps the best route to take as it allowed Etem to properly adjust to the NHL. His production hit a big wall in April, scoring one point in 12 games. However,Etem heated up in the playoffs, proving to be one of Anaheim's most consistent forwards all series against Detroit. His play was instrumental in getting the Ducks to seven games against the Red Wings, tallying three goals and two assists in six playoff games. The speedy forward played with tremendous energy and has grown a lot in his rookie campaign. Expect him to challenge for a top six role next season, as he is quickly rising up the ranks. Kevin Won

January 2013 – He has just received his first NHL opportunity with a recall. He is likely going to play on the fourth line, and is not dominating the AHL. He hit the score sheet for three points in his last AHL game and now has 12 goals on the season. A good showing and he possibly bump Devente Smith-Pelly back to the AHL. Jason Banks

October 2012 - Etem is still looking for his first AHL point. Do not worry about his lack of production to date as he is getting shots off and it’s only a matter of time before he gets comfortable playing against men. Tim Graveline

June 2012 – Etem absolutely tore up the WHL this season, leading the league with 61 goals and finishing 7th in the league with 107 points. The Tigers didn’t progress very deep in the playoffs, but Etem put up 13 points in 7 playoff games. He then signed with the Anaheim Ducks in May, and got a 6 game try out in the AHL, where he netted 3 goals. Will start next season in the AHL with the Syracuse Crunch and could get a call up to the NHL at some point through the 2013 season. Todd Poole

February 2012 – Notched his 50th and 51st goals in just his 50th WHL game, a feat not accomplished since 1999 (Pavel Brendl). Zenon Herasymiuk

January 2012 – Etem represented Team USA in the 2012 WJHC. It was his second appearance in the tournament, which saw him net four assists in six games. The Americans finished 7th. Back in the WHL, Etem has been a man possessed. He is lighting the league on fire with 47 goals and 34 assists for 81 points. Etem leads the league in goals and is among the league leaders in all major offensive categories. A dangerous forward that uses a combination of lethal puck skills and incredible speed to wreak havoc on opposing teams. Zenon Herasymiuk

Fantasy Outlook: A-
